Debbie and Friends’ performances are all about making music together and having a great time.
Debbie has been making music with kids for over 20 years. First as a classroom music teacher and most recently as a children’s recording artist, writing and performing children’s music with kids and their families.
Debbie studied music and music education at Berklee College of Music, where she is now the dean of continuing education. She was a classroom music teacher for many years and brings that experience to every performance.
Her first children’s song, “Three Pigs and a Wolf,” was inspired by her nephew Will, who told her the story of the Three Little Pigs with such enthusiasm one day that it inspired Debbie to write the song. That led to a series of well-loved story songs.
Debbie’s songs are engaging, interactive, fun, and educational. Her family concerts and school performances include lots of singing and dancing for children, parents, and teachers alike.
“As a music teacher, one of my favorite times of the week was our Friday afternoon sing-alongs.” That’s when 100 first- and second-grade children would come to my music room for a fun hour of singing. Debbie and Friends performances are a reminder of those times.”
